This religiously inspired comic is very different from anything I've seen in a while. The story is based around 7 holy heroes, one of whom is reluctant to fit into his role, which treads quite familiar ground, but the sub plot is intriguing, and the art, although rough in places is bursting with energy. The printing quality is very high, and the colours help to enhance the artwork, which is still developing.

This super hero comic is bursting with action, and the enthusiasm is evident. Joe wears his John Romita JR influence on his sleeve with pride.
Big splash pages, and powerful panel design fill this comic. The art is bold, and graphic, and you just can't help but feel the love that went into each and every panel. If you enjoyed stuff like Wargods, and 1966, you'll love this.

John gives the story plenty of realism, which is helped by the fact that it's set in the UK, and not the usual American locations.

O- Men is one of my favourite super hero titles. Previously nominated for an Eagle Award, and constantly in receipt of good reviews from CI and Trs2. It tells the tale of group of superheroes who don't always get on with each other, and sheds a light on what goes on in their normal day to day lives.
This goes hand in hand with the usual plot driven battles with super villains. The only difference being, that the villains in these stories are just as well realised as the heroes. If you haven't tried an issue yet, you really are missing a top class read.

For those of you who don't remember, the first issue of this title completely sold out in a matter of months. Unfortunately no reprint was possible due to original art being lost. To my personal regret, I even had to sell my own personal copy. Luckily that comic was so memorable, I probably won't need to read it again. Somehow, Jay has managed to follow up the lead story from that issue with a powerful and character building sequal. Colin Stanford's art is still as accomplished and strong as usual, and newcomer Michael McColm shows much promise on the Chapter 2. Just as last issue, you dare not miss out on this comic!

Excellent superteam comic, with echoes of O-Men and Doom Patrol, and The Authority too. An interesting mixture of characters that sometimes manages to steer away from the usual team cliches.
Grant's writing and artwork continue to go from strength to strength as the title picks up praise from many critics.

I quite enjoyed this dose of mayhem. If you like stories with loads of action, a healthy dose of bounty hunters and mutants, with a pinch of wrestling, then this comic is definitely for you.
If not, then still buy it anyway, as Marc's artwork is a real treat.

Well, what can I say? Marc's comic is quite an original. Definitely not for young children, but undoubtedly for the young at heart.
The artwork and storytelling are excellent: reminiscent of Mignola, but with a 2000ad touch.

This is one superpower story, that is almost science fiction, and almost horror.
There are no spandex costumes or squeaky clean heroes in this comic. In fact some of the images conjured up by Creator Chris Webster are truly chilling. If you like superhero comics, but want to read something a little more engaging than the norm, then you have to give this title a try.
