difficult as a small publisher to find the right printer to handle your
projects. Getting
the right quality at the right price within the desired amount of time
is not as easy as one might think.

Getting a quote:
When requesting a quote,
please remember to include the following important
specifications:

Your initial print
run, and whether you require a run on price (extra copies after
your initial run).

Your total page
count including the covers. (This will always be
a multiple of 4)

Your chosen format,
eg: Standard US comics Size is 6.625" x 10.25" or 168 mm by 260
mm
-
Binding options: Do
you want your comic saddle stitched (stapled) or perfect bound?

Colour options: Do
you require any full colour pages?
-
Paper: Do you want
glossy or matt finnish, or perhaps coloured
paper? What weight paper do you want to use?
80gsm - to card stock is
available - we ca advise on this if you are not
sure.

Source Material: Pages should be submitted
in high resolution print ready
PDF format at least 300dpi and it is recommended for
colour covers to be at least 600dpi.

And finally, always
remember to include your address and delivery
requirements. Do you need your comics delivered to
more than 1 address? Are these addresses all UK?

to include your delivery price in any quote too, however,
this sometimes has to be worked out upon delivery, and
invoiced then.
Other Tips

Please include on all
pages a 5mm border for bleed and crop marks.

Always try to allow at
least 1 month for your books to be printed for the best results

If you require a barcode
for distribution always remember to include this in your quote
request and make sure you have the relevant ISBN at hand

Two things to always
remember: The higher your initial print run, the lower
you can price your comic, and whatever you price your
comic at, you'll need to take into account both printing
and distribution costs.
