TITLE: CRUEL WORLD

Creator: Anton Emdin, Pages: 32

Format: A5 Colour Cover

This Australian mini comic is reminiscent of comics like 'Hate'. Although the humour is a lot more 'in your face'.

The artwork is consistent with a bold inking style that gives the book a solid quality. The stories are definitely of an adult nature, and can sometimes be a little close to the bone, but one just can't help but let out an evil giggle when reading them.

This book captures perfectly the sad truth that no matter how young you think you are, you're still just another old git to the kids. Don't you know...they invented sex, fun, drugs and rebellion?

TITLE: SECRET MONKEY

Creators: John Hunt, and Matt Dursin, Pages: 32, Format: US Colour Cover

On a future planet Earth where the missing link between man and ape has been mysteriously discovered, the heroic 'Secret Monkey' defends his planet from would be conquerors.

It sounds like the plot to your average Sci- Fi actioner, only this comic is far from average. It's a side splitting parody. I keep expecting to see Leslie Neilson popping up, as the humour would not go a miss in one of his spoofs. The printing quality is excellent, with interior halftones adding to the professional quality of the comic.
