Pages: 92

Format: 190x255mm Paperback with B/W interiors

This gruesome collection of murder and depravity contains highly adult themes and is not for the weak minded.

It contains some stunning artwork, and often quite disturbing imagery. Some of the characters are taken from real life other are fictional, but sometimes the boundries between the two are not clear which make the stories all the more chilling.

Believe me this one almost went in the horror section.

Creator: Dylan Williams

Pages: 28

Format: US Ashcan Colour Cover

This series is set in a self contained universe. Each story stands on it's own, but is linked to the others in some way. Obviously influenced by Stray Bullets, but hey, you can't get a much better influence than that. Top notch writing, and fluid artwork. Issue three even tells a flashback laden story with art only. It's only fair I warn you, that 'Reporter' also contains some strange fantasy elements.

There is also a collection of stories available in "Little Black"

STRANGE AND YARLATH

Available

Issue #1,

£2.00

Creators: Rob Whitelock and Phil Salter

Pages: 32

Format: A5 B/W

The story of two criminals who are not quite playing with the full deck.

The art is a mixture of realistic panels and dark cartooning all presented in landscape format. There is some dark humour, but the bulk of the story is just plain dark. A hard, but rewarding read.

TO NAIL THE KILLER WITH ALL EFFORTS

Available

Issue #1,

£1.20

Creator: Rob Jackson

Pages: 24

Format: A5 B/W

This is a fun comic with a story told in th style of a Hong Kong cop film. Even the title parodies some of the clumsy translations that are typical of English versions of these movies.

It's an original idea for a comic outside of the manga stuff, and works really well in places, sometimes verging on parody, but somehow avoiding banality.

Robs artwork has a simple, almost childlike style that adds more subtle humour to the story.

URBAN SERIAL

Issue #2,

£2.00

Publishers: ADP Comics

Creators: Chris Atkins & Ed Doyle

Format: UK B/W Interiors

A man witnessing a crime becomes far too involved with both a female police officer and the man who committed the crime, with explosive results.

This three part series skilfully twists and turns through it's well crafted and violent story.
